About the Conference

Introduction

Overview

Co-hosted by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee (the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office) and the Hubei Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the 26th Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing (known as the “HCH”) will be held in Wuhan on December 3–5, 2026. Now in its 25th year, this edition will bring together overseas Chinese professionals, renowned overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, overseas alumni, and representatives of Fortune Global 500 companies, foreign chambers of commerce and leading foreign technology firms.

During the Conference, the 10th HCH International Education Cooperation Conference will be held on December 4–5 at the Academic Exchange Center of Huazhong Agricultural University. It is hosted by the Department of Education of Hubei Province and organized jointly by the Hubei Education Center for International Exchange & Services, the Hubei Education International Exchange Association, Hubei Changjiang Education Press & Media Group Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Hyde Cambridge Education Consult & Services Co., Ltd.

Adopting the format of an Opening Ceremony (Main Venue) + Thematic Sessions, the Conference sets up three parallel sessions — Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, vocational education going global, and international exchange and cooperation in basic education — alongside a Study-in-China programme, the International Education Exhibition, themed study tours for secondary school students and a series of lectures on international education.

Since 2017, the HCH International Education Cooperation Conference has been held for nine consecutive editions, hosting nearly 1,000 overseas guests in total and facilitating close to a hundred cooperation agreements between Hubei and international institutions — with results that have matched expectations.
