Cooperation and Win-Win Outcomes, New Momentum for Education Opening-Up

On October 23, 2024, the 8th HCH International Education Cooperation Conference was held at the International Academic Exchange Centre of Huazhong Agricultural University. University guests from the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia joined education representatives from Hubei, online and in person, to advance education opening-up and practical cooperation.

Building Consensus and Delivering Outcomes

The Conference shared practical experience in high-level education opening-up, highlighted the role of digital education in international curricula, international student development and international Chinese-language education, and called for wider, multi-level exchange platforms.

International ParticipationMore than 300 guests joined online and in person, including overseas delegates from the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia.

Foundation for Opening-UpHubei institutions had established 103 cooperative education programmes with institutions in 15 countries, while around 22,000 international students studied in the province.

Cooperation OutcomesNine pairs of Chinese and overseas institutions reached cooperation intentions online and in person, covering exchanges, joint talent development, teaching, research and internships.
